Purpose of Category
The purpose is to accelerate and support sustainability transformation by incentivizing products, projects, and practices that enable widespread adoption of sustainable technologies in resource use towards achieving Net Zero Emissions and Zero Waste goals by 2050, while creating new habitats that enhance biodiversity. This aims to provide social and economic benefits inclusively and more accessibly within society.
Definition of Category
The candidate project must directly impact the core activities of the project, products/services, or applications, or be an integral part of these core activities. Core activities include processes such as development, production, customer delivery, and management of supplier or sales channels. Projects aimed at improving corporate social responsibility or human resources processes will not be considered in this category.
- Emission reduction practices serving Net Zero Emissions in the supply chain, company operations, or customer side
- Transformation projects aimed at adaptation to the climate crisis
- Applications aiming for Zero Waste, including industrial process wastes
- Circular economy practices
- Biodiversity projects along the value chain
- Innovative practices and business models in the supply chain contributing to social benefits and sustainable development through inclusive and accessible products/services
Evaluation Criteria of Category
- Identification of direct connection with core activities, products, services, and business processes of the project
- Identification of business advantages provided to the company (e.g., profitability, risk management, access to new markets, customer loyalty, etc.)
- Integration of sustainability with digitalization, technology, or innovation
- Original yet suitable for widespread use, sustainable, and scalable
- Collaboration with different stakeholders (e.g., startups, universities, NGOs, etc.) and creating synergies
- Definition of measurable benefits of the project as 'impact' (e.g., total annual greenhouse gas reduction achieved)
- Definition of KPIs at the project's inception and subsequent assessment of their achievement
